Now in its 25th edition, the Cervim competition is the only one in the world dedicated specifically to wines produced in areas characterised by heroic winegrowing.
The Mondial des Vins Extrêmes is organised by Cervim, with the patronage of OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) and the authorisation of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. The contest selects the best wines produced by extreme winemaking in order to promote and protect the production of small winegrowing areas with their unique histories, traditions and characteristics, of great environmental and ecological value where primarily native varieties are grown.
These are true “islands of winegrowing biodiversity” at risk of extinction because of high production costs (cultivating a vineyard in these areas costs ten times more than on plains).
The results of the winning wines are available on the site web The results of the winning wines are available http://www.mondialvinsextremes.com/news/l-elenco-dei-vini-premiati
